If you used Lists in the classic version of BarnManager, you'll notice that they work differently in the new version. Here's what changed and where to find your data.
What happened to my Lists?
Lists from the classic version have been converted into Records with tables in the new version. Your data is still there — it's just organized differently.
For example, if you had a list called "April and May Shows" in the classic version, it now appears as a Record with a table view in the new version. The content is the same, but the presentation uses a table format.
Where to find your converted Lists
Look for your previous lists under the Records section in the new version. Some lists may also appear under Tasks, depending on the type of list you had.
What about horse show sign-up sheets and other important lists?
Lists that were used for sign-up sheets, to-do tracking, and similar purposes should be accessible through Records in the new version. If you can't find a specific list, try searching by the list name or check the Records section.
Can I still use the classic version?
Yes — the classic version of BarnManager will continue to be available for the foreseeable future. If you prefer the classic Lists feature, you can continue using the classic version.
Table view improvements coming soon
We're planning to release an upgrade to the table view that will improve content readability. Stay tuned for updates!
Can a deleted list be recovered?
If a list was accidentally deleted — for example, while the app was switching between versions — recovering it from a database backup may be possible, but it requires significant time and effort from our tech team. If you've lost an important list, please contact us through the chat widget right away with the name of the list, and we'll see what we can do to help.
If you're having trouble finding your data after switching versions, reach out through the chat widget and we'll help you locate it.
