Feed Products & Reports
This page covers the building blocks behind the Feed schedule: the products you assign to horses, the change log that tracks edits, and the feed reports you can download.
Feed is an Essential-plan feature. Editing products and downloading reports requires feed edit access; see Users & Permissions.
Feed products
A product is a reusable item — a feed, supplement, or medication — that you assign to horses when creating feed entries. Maintaining a product list keeps names and brands consistent across your schedule.
Viewing the product list
From the Feed page, select Product List. Products are grouped by type:
| Section | Product type |
|---|---|
| Food | Feed |
| Supplements | Supplement |
| Medication | Medication |
| Show Medication | Show Medication |
Select any product to open it for editing.
Creating a product
- From the product list, select Create product.
- Enter the Name.
- Enter the Brand.
- Choose the Type — Feed, Supplement, Medication, or Show Medication.
- Select Create.
All three fields are required. You can also create a product directly while building a feed entry by typing a new name and choosing Add "..."; see Feed.
Editing a product
Open a product from the list to change its Name, Brand, or Type, then select Save. The product's actions menu (top right) offers two more options:
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Remove from schedule | Removes the product from all horses' feed schedules. The product stays in the product list. |
| Delete | Permanently deletes the product and removes it from all horses' feeding schedules. |
Both actions ask you to confirm before they run.
Feed change log
The change log records the feeding history for a horse. Open it from the Feed page (filtered to a single horse) by selecting View Change Log.
Entries are grouped by date and time and describe what happened, including:
- Added — a new feed entry, with quantity, unit, product, and the times it is given.
- Changed — an entry that was edited, showing what it was changed from and to.
- Removed — an entry that was deleted.
- Note changes — notes that were added or edited.
Downloading a feed report
To export the schedule, select Download Report from the Feed page header (requires edit access). The report covers the date range of the current view — the selected day for Single Day and List views, or the selected week for Weekly view.
In the download dialog:
- Choose the Horses to include. Pick specific horses, or check All Horses.
- Choose the File Type — PDF or CSV.
- Choose which Feed Types to include: Feed, Supplements, Medications, and Show Medications (all selected by default).
- For PDF, set the Font Size (Small, Normal, Large, or Huge) and Orientation (Portrait or Landscape). For non-list views you can also check Single horse per page.
- Select Download.
The file is generated in the background and downloads automatically when ready, so you can keep working while it processes.
