Getting Started with BarnManager

This guide gets you oriented so you can start working in BarnManager right away.


Signing in

Open BarnManager at app.barnmanager.com and sign in with your email and password.

If a barn admin invited you, you'll receive an invitation to join their barn — accept it to create your sign-in and get access. What you can see and do once you're in depends on the role and permissions your admin assigned you (see Users & Permissions).


Finding your way around

The left-hand navigation is your main menu. Depending on your plan and permissions, you'll see:

AdminBarn profile, team, permissions, and subscription (admins only)

Plans and what's included

BarnManager comes in two plans:

  • Essential — everything except Invoicing: Dashboard, Posts, Horses, Calendar, Records, Tasks, Contacts, Feed, Vendors, and Reports
  • Pro — everything in Essential, plus Invoicing

If a section isn't visible, it may not be included in your plan, or you may not have permission for it. See Subscription & Plans.


Roles and access

BarnManager keeps access simple:

  • Admins can do everything, including the Admin area.
  • Standard users see and do only what their per-feature permissions allow.

Admins control this on the Users & Permissions page — that's also where you invite new people to your barn.


First steps for a new barn

  1. Set up your barn details in Admin → Barn Profile.
  2. Invite your team and set their permissions in Admin → Users & Permissions.
  3. Add your horses — one at a time or in bulk.
  4. Add your contacts (owners, riders, vendors).
  5. Explore the Dashboard to see your day at a glance.
