Setting User Permissions

Each user can have fully customized permissions. You can determine a user's access to your BarnManager account both by Horses and by Feature access. The Horse level permissions will override the Feature level permissions. For example, if a user has access to Horse A only, and also has full access to all Features, that user will only see data and be able to edit and add entries for Horse A.

***NOTE: Only Admin users can invite new users and set their permissions.

How to set a user's permissions:

  1. Select "Admin" from the Account Settings Drop down menu (upper right hand corner).

  2. Select "Users & Permissions" from Left Menu. (***Note: if you are on a mobile device or tablet, you may have to open this menu by tapping the three stacked horizontal lines).

  3. Select the User you wish to modify permissions for, or select Add a User to add a new user.

  4. Scroll down to "Horses Assigned to User," and select the horses you would like the user to have access to or select "All Horses"

  5. Scroll down to the Features Grid.

  6. For each feature, select the type of access you would like the user to have to that feature. (***Note: for horses, you can only choose between "Read Only," and "Full Access." "No Access" is not an option).

  7. Select the "Save" button at the bottom of the page to save your changes.
