How New Users Join an Existing Barn's Account

What to do when you want to join a barn that already uses BarnManager — as a client, staff member, or horse owner.

If your barn uses BarnManager and you'd like access, here's how it works.

You need to be invited by your barn's account admin.

BarnManager accounts are set up and managed by the barn. You cannot create your own account and join a barn independently — the barn's admin needs to invite you first.

How the invitation works

  1. Your barn's admin goes to Account → Admin → Users & Permissions and clicks "Invite New User."

  2. They enter your email address.

  3. You receive an email with a link to set your password and access the account.

I downloaded the app but only see a login screen.

This is expected if you haven't been invited yet. Contact your barn manager and ask them to send you an invitation through BarnManager. Once you receive the invitation email, follow the link to set up your password, then you can log in through the app or web browser.

I was invited but didn't receive the email.

  • Check your spam or junk folder — the invitation email may have been filtered.

  • Wait a few minutes — the email can sometimes be delayed.

  • Ask your barn admin to double-check the email address they used and re-send the invitation if needed.

  • Try adding BarnManager's email address to your contacts to prevent future filtering.

I already have a BarnManager account from another barn.

If you already have an account, ask the new barn's admin to invite you using the same email address associated with your existing account. The admin says my email is showing as "invalid."

If the system is rejecting an email address during the invitation process, double-check for typos or extra spaces. If the email address is correct and the error persists, contact us through the chat widget and we'll investigate.
