If you're not receiving email notifications, push notifications, or in-app notifications from BarnManager, here are some steps to troubleshoot.
Check your notification settings in BarnManager
Click on Account (upper right corner).
Select My Profile.
Scroll to the notification preferences section.
Confirm that the notification types you expect (whiteboard posts, new horses, record updates, etc.) are turned on.
Click Save Changes.
Check your email spam or junk folder
BarnManager emails can be filtered by email providers. If you find BarnManager emails in spam, mark them as "Not Spam" and add BarnManager's email address to your contacts.
Verify your email address
Under Account β My Profile, make sure the email address listed is correct. Even a small typo will prevent emails from reaching you.
Check your phone's notification settings
For push notifications on mobile, go to your phone's Settings, find BarnManager, and make sure notifications are allowed. On iPhone, check that notifications aren't set to "Deliver Quietly." On Android, check that BarnManager isn't being restricted by battery optimization settings.
Recently switched to the new version of BarnManager?
If notifications stopped working around the time you switched versions, your notification preferences may need to be re-enabled in the new version. Go through the steps above to check your settings. If in-app notifications are missing entirely (showing a blank notification center), this may be a temporary issue β try logging out and back in, or contact us so our team can investigate.
Whiteboard post emails not arriving?
Whiteboard notifications are a separate setting. Make sure whiteboard post notifications are specifically enabled in your notification preferences. Also check with the person who created the post to confirm they selected the option to notify users when posting.
Viewing your notifications
You can view reminders and notifications in the Notifications Center by clicking the bell icon in the upper right corner of the app. If you have unread notifications, a red badge will appear on the bell icon.
